About This Project

Phase 2 acted as lead consultants in the preparation of a masterplan for a former secondary school site in Chelmsford. The masterplan provides for a mixed-use development comprising new special needs schools, around 185 dwellings, independent living accommodation, community space and public open space. The masterplan process included consultation with statutory consultees, local organisations and residents. Since the approval of the masterplan by the City Council, work has been underway to prepare a planning application covering the majority of the site.
