About This Project

Phase 2 are delighted to confirm that Essex County Council resolved to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of the Loughton Library site. The scheme will deliver a new library that is fit for the future, alongside space for community uses and 38 apartments on the upper floors. The development will be centred around an existing oak tree which will be incorporated within a central public courtyard, providing a space for outdoor learning associated with the library and amenity space for residents.
