Phase 2 were successful in securing planning permission for the erection of five buildings, 3 retail units (Class E (a or b) one of which for KFC, a drive thru restaurant, (Mc Donalds, Class Sui Generis) and a drive thru coffee shop, (Class E), together with an electric vehicle charging station.
The application site was originally designated in the then adopted Local Plan for employment uses restricted to Classes B1, B2 and B8, but and Phase 2 showed that the changing employment market justified a more relaxed approach. The scheme will be commenced in 2026.
