He began planning career in the East of London at Fibbens Fox Associates, working on a series of complex Enforcement cases, as well as working on behalf of a nationwide leisure company. He then moved to a JTS Partnership in Brentwood, spending over 6 years acting for a range of clients including acting on behalf of a well-known public house and restaurant chain, as well as working on a number of complex Green Belt proposals. Following that, he took the position of Principal Planner with Boyer in 2013 and worked on a number of major complex residential developments, which included securing permission for schemes such as: over 900 dwellings in Easton, Norfolk; over 100 dwellings in Red Lodge, Cambridgeshire; and the redevelopment of a brownfield site in Braintree. Stuart subsequently took the position of Associate Planner, overseeing the preparation of planning applications for major residential schemes in Uttlesford and Breckland District Council.
Stuart has significant experience working on major residential and commercial projects, including experience of preparing and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and leading project teams in relation to projects through all stages of the EIA and Planning Application process, as well as heritage experience. Outside of planning, Stuart is a keen runner and regularly participates in half marathons and endurance races.
